GAZ Group and Volnoe Delo summed up the results of the Robotics Festival

GAZ Group and Oleg Deripaska's Foundation Volnoe Delo summed up the results of the IV-th regional Festival RoboFest-NN held in Nizhny Novgorod on January 19. The competition was held in the framework of the all-Russia Program “Robotics: engineering and technical personnel of innovative Russia”. The teams that became prize-winners at the Festival, won the right to represent Nizhny Novgorod region and GAZ Group at the all-Russia RoboFest in March in Moscow.

Under the auspices of GAZ Group in the IV-th regional robotics festival RoboFest-NN the following youth teams of educational institutions took part: Lyceum No. 165 of Nizhny Novgorod, Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University (NSTU), Povolzhye aerospace educational center - a regional resource center in robotics, Center for gifted children and robotics circle of GAZ Group.

The first place in team classification in the direction of the FIRST LEGO LEAGUE (FLL), the second place for the field game and the second place for the protection of the project were taken by the team of the robotics circle of GAZ Group (GAZirovka), the second place in this direction and the gold medals for the defense of the project were also won by the team of the robotics circle of GAZ Group GlassMeGAZ, the team Lyuboznatushki and the team Farpoint from Povolzhye aerospace educational center won the third place for the defense of the projects and the third place for the game on the field. 

The first three places in the older age group of the engineering project were won by four projects performed on assignment from GAZ Group by the students of NSTU; the first and second places in the youngest age group "Junior" of the engineering project were won by the teams from Lyceum No. 165 and Povolzhye aerospace educational resource center, the second place in the older age group "Junior" of the engineering project was won by the team of Lyceum # 165. The Lyceum students were also awarded two nominations in this direction.

The second place in the direction of Hello, Robot! ARDUINO was won by the guys from Lyceum # 165. The Robotics experts from Lyceum # 165, the Center for gifted children and Povolzhye aerospace educational center also won five nominations in various competition directions.

The Festival RoboFest-NN was held in Nizhny Novgorod for the fourth time. Around 400 schoolchildren and students aged from 6 to 25 years old from Nizhny Novgorod, Nizhny Novgorod region, as well as teams from Moscow and St. Petersburg took part in the contest. The aim of the Festival is to develop a permanent system of early vocational guidance through the involvement of students in research engineering and design activities, mastering modern technical engineering competencies.
